The Italian Historical Society of America was established in 1949 to help counter the negative stereotypes of Italians and Italian-Americans based on the popularized actions of a few. Over the decades and into 21 st Century the Society has sought to bring information about the great contributions for the betterment of humankind that have been wrought by those of Italian heritage.
